Those

energy is the only feasible choice to answer the ever-increasing energy needs.
According
to them, the other sources of energy: oil, coal, and Liquid Natural Gas are not
renewable and safe, while nuclear energy can be sustain ably produced in a safe
way.
However,
people who disagree with the use of nuclear energy point out the waste of
nuclear products completely destroy environment and human lives.
A
meltdown in a reactor, for example, results in a contamination of soil and
water. Take for an example, the blow up of the nuclear reactor at Chernobyl
nuclear power station in Russia twenty years ago. A serious contamination
imperiled people and environment severely.

Students can
you show me your hands? Right! And can you show me your head? Excellent! But
can you show me your stomach? Hm…Can you show me your lungs? No…..? Why? Yeah,
you are right. Because there are inside our body. So what do you think, how can
we see the internal parts of our body? Yes. We use X-Ray. So what is X-Ray?
Does any body know? No…..? Well, X-Ray is a spectrum of light. It is radiated
to our body. It is use for detecting our internal body organs. Do I make myself
clear? Well, let me continue, where can you find X-Ray? Yes, that’s. It is in
hospital. And do you know invented X-Ray? Does anybody know? No? oh come on… nobody remembers the
name? Well, X-Ray was invented by a German scientist, William Conrad Rontgen.
Where was I? Oh, O.K. Hm… when do people use X-Ray?
Correct. When
they are ill. I mean when there is something wrong in their internal parts of
the body. Can you give the example of illnesses? When people suffer these
diseases they need X-Ray to check. Yes, cancer,…kidney trouble,…heart
trouble,…tumor, etc.
Students do
you know many opinions argue about the use of X-Ray in hospital and other agree
about the use of X-Ray?
Well, look at
the diagram! 60% people agree that X-Ray examination is beneficial.
They say that
doctors should use X-Ray in examining a severe illness. If doctors don’t use
the X-Ray, they will miss some important information which is very useful in
making a diagnose on the patient’s disease. And this will sometimes cause the
doctor inaccurate in prescribing the medicine to cure the illness.
Not all
patients agree with the use of X-Ray examination, however. Look at the diagram
again, 10% disagree with the use of X-Ray examination.
Do you know
why? Guess what?
They think
that using X-Ray examination cost them a lot of money. I’m not surprised.
Another reason is the radiation of X-Ray has some risks to the body tissues.
While the rest of the patients or 30% patients remain silent because they have
no idea whether the use of X-Ray examination is really beneficial or not?
Well, as a
result of this controversy, many people are planning a traditional health cure
to avoid the high cost of hospital care. While hospitals insist on having X-Ray
examination on patients to get an accurate diagnose altough the cost is very
high.
16. These
illnesses need X-ray examination, except….
A. Cancer
B. Cough
C. Tumor
D. Kidney trouble
E. Heart trouble
17. Many people choose traditional cure because
…..
A. X-ray examination is very cheap
B. they have enough money
C. doctors always tell them to have X-ray
examination
D. X-ray examination cannot give accurate
results
E. it costs cheaper than the hospital one.
18. Who mostly objects to an X-ray examination?
A. The diseases
B. The patients
C. The doctors
D. The nurses
E. The assistants
19. Which
statement is right according to the text?
A. Fewer people support the use of X-ray
examination.
B. More people refuse the use of X-ray
examination.
C. More people support the use of X-ray
examination.
D. More people neither support nor refuse the
use of X-ray examination.
E. Fewer people both support and refuse the use of X-ray examination.
20 Which
statement is true?
A. Not all patients agree to the use of X- ray.
B. 30 % patients agree that X- ray examination
is beneficial.
C. 60 % people disagree that X-ray examination
should be used to cure diseases.
D. 10 % people know accurately that X- ray
examination is beneficial.
